City of Joondalup councillor Nige Watson cautioned after claiming strip club drink as council travel expense

Image
A local government councillor who tried to get reimbursed for a drink he bought at "the best strip club in Australia" during a work trip has described the incident as a "genuine mistake". City of Joondalup councillor Nige Jones was found to have breached code of conduct standards while on a city-funded conference trip to Adelaide in August for claiming a drink expense at Hindley Street's Crazy Horse Revue. "His claim for reimbursement of an alcoholic beverage at the Crazy Horse Revue and attendance at this establishment while on city-funded travel does not meet the standards of conduct expected of a council member," a censure notice published by the City of Joondalup read. Located in Adelaide's CBD, the Crazy Horse describes itself as "Australia's most iconic gentlemen's club for over 40 Years". Why Hospitality Businesses Are Popular Among Buyers

Image
Hospitality businesses remain popular among buyers because they offer a blend of lifestyle appeal, steady demand, and diverse income opportunities. Many buyers are drawn to the chance to run cafes, restaurants, or small accommodation services that allow for personal creativity and direct customer interaction. These businesses often have strong foot traffic, repeat customers, and the potential to grow through improved service, menu updates, or digital marketing. The sector also attracts buyers who want a hands on venture that delivers quick feedback and visible results. Even during changing economic periods, hospitality remains resilient because people continue to seek dining, social experiences, and travel options.
